PRESSED ON 2 QUALITY HEAVYWEIGHT VINYLS WITH DEEP CUT GROOVES WHICH DELIVER SUPERB AUDIO QUALITY WITH A BEAUTIFUL LOUD CUT AND SENSATIONAL IMMEDIATE SOUND,
THE SET HAS THE FIRST ISSUE LIBERTY LABELS,

THIS IS A TREMENDOUS COPY OF A SUPERB SET IN BEAUTIFUL CONDITION AND I THINK YOU WOULD BE HARD PRESSED TO FIND ONE MUCH BETTER - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

Although Canned Heat got top bill -- as the band's record company issued the two-LP package -- this project is uncategorically a John Lee Hooker effort, and a fine one at that.
The contents commence with a bevy of solo Hooker pieces, a few collaborations between Hooker and Wilson, and then the full integration of the entire quartet on the final five sides. While the collection features no real bombs, per se, the results range from the aimlessness of "Send Me Your Pillow" and the appropriately titled "Drifter," to the emotive "Sittin' Here Thinkin'" or the vigorous workout on the indispensable and classic "Burning Hell" and "Bottle Up and Go."
"I Got My Eyes on You" -- an unabashed take-off of Hooker's "Dimples" -- is also a keeper. This is also true of "Boogie Chillen No. 2," which rambles, ambles, and shakes for nearly 12 glorious minutes.

LABELS: CLEAN and BRIGHT with NO wear/marks/unwanted writing and only ONE or TWO (mega) light spindle traces - THIS SET IS VIRTUALLY UNPLAYED
VINYL Visual: Both records retain their original DEEP, LIKE-NEW GLOSSY SHEEN and are virtually UNMARKED. TWO BEAUTIFUL PIECES OF VINYL
VINYL Audio: The audio is absolutely OUTSTANDING - CRYSTAL CLEAR, STRONG, VIBRANT SOUND. TREMENDOUSLY IMMEDIATE and ATMOSPHERIC. SUPERB. There are NO scratches, NO sticks, NO jumps and just a few light ticks/pops and some very, very light crackle during one or two of the quieter moments (really very, VERY minor) - plays BEAUTIFULLY throughout with GREAT DEPTH AND CLARITY, NO groove-wear and NO distortion (this set is basically unplayed). Must be very critically graded EXCELLENT+/NEAR MINT. TREMENDOUS LP and NOT over-graded in ANY way as I use strict RECORD COLLECTOR grading standards (please refer to my feedback and 'about me' page). THIS REALY IS A BEAUTIFUL COPY - JLH SOUNDS SENSATIONAL IN THESE LOOSE, IMPROVISATIONAL JAMS WHICH ARE STRIPPED DOWN AND RAW AND HIGHLIGHT THE BLUES LEGEND AT HIS ELECTRIFYING BEST
SLEEVE: The DEEPLY TEXTURED gatefold is in EXCELLENT condition with just some minor storage 'rubbing' to the top and bottom edges. The textured surfaces themselves are in BEAUTIFUL condition with just a light mark where a price label has been removed (not a tear but slight colour loss to the embossed ridges - see pics) but otherwise, the surfaces are CLEAN and FRESH, as are the un-textured inner surfaces.
