Description

Absolutely gorgeous copy of the original 1965 pressing of Cannonball Adderley’s Fiddler on the Roof LP on Capitol stereo ST-2216. The band is incredible, featuring brither Nat Adderley, a young Charles Lloyd, and Joe Zawinul, and it is produced by David Axelrod. Their renditions of these songs from the Broadway show (it is well before the movie) are really interesting “modern jazz” takes on these Jewish-style tunes, a very unusual fusion. Really a special record. And this copy is magnificently clean. The disc is very nearly mint and plays flawlessly and just beautifully. A few very light superficial scuffs but barely. The cover has a bit of light wear, with some barely-noticeable discoloration in places, but no seam splits, fraying edges or even bumped corners. Truly a top, top original copy, very hard to beat.
