Description
JULIAN “CANNONBALL” ADDERLY – SOMETHIN’ ELSE – BLUE NOTE 1595 – VG/EX – 46 W 63RD ST. – MONO
This Rudy Van Gelder session was recorded on March 9, 1958 and features Julian “Cannonball” Adderley on also, Miles Davis on trumpet, Hank Jones on piano, Sam Jones on bass and Art Blakey on drums. SIDE 1: AUTUMN LEAVES and LOVE FOR SALE: SIDE 2: SOMETHIN’ ELSE; ONE FOR DADDY-O and DANCING IN THE DARK. There is “RVG” and an EAR” on both sides of the blank vinyl. Both the LP and the record jacket have the same address: “41 West 63rd ST. NYC”. This is a MONO recording.
I have graded the LP as VG and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. There are just enough scuffs and marks on the vinyl to keep it from being a VG+ rating. The LP plays well throughout, but there is some surface noise on Side 1 Cut 1 and Side 2 Cut 3 to keep this from a VG+ rating. There are no skips and the surface of the vinyl through most of it is clean. There doesn’t appear to be much wear in and around the spindle hole on either side. The record jacket is in excellent condition, and gets an EX grading with no real sign of wear, except in the lower right corner. There are not taped seams and little discoloration. The jacket has the same address as the LP: “47 West 63rd Street, New York 23, N.Y.” If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
PLEASE NOTE! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
