VINYL is VG+ / VG
Overall very clean vinyl with light storage mark near edge of each side (Very light on SIDE ONE (VG+); more visible on SIDE TWO (VG). These are cosmetic, top-of-groove only, mostly inaudible. a few very light, non-feelable scratches, mostly on Side 2. PLAY TESTED: LP plays Bold, Clear and Bright throughout with any occasional background sound being well below the music and unobtrusive. Labels are super clean both sides.

COVER is VG
Bright, overall quite clean cover has a couple of small light scuff marks on front, in white background and a few mild edge creases; one soft thumb-crease, very hard to see. I have to put a low grade because there is tape on both top and bottom seams. The tape is clean, firm and runs edge-to-edge for a very professional look. The top seam looks mostly split beneath the tape, while the bottom seam is not split at all, but has a few small edge chips [see PHOTO 1] that are being protected beneath the tape. No writing or other marks.
Back cover is close to Near Mint. NO drill hole, saw cut or cut corner. Spine is 100% intact with no wear or splits. Spine Titles are crisp, sharp and completely legible. Overall still very presentable.

Captain Beefheart (Don Van Vliet) wrote all of the songs, with the exception of Grown So Ugly, written by early bluesman, Robert Pete Williams. Herb Bermann (Lancaster resident & soul-mate at the time) co-wrote the lyrics with Van Vliet on all songs - with the exception of the afore-mentioned and; Call On Me, I'm Glad and Abba Zaba. Jerry Handley co-wrote Plastic Factory with Vliet & Bermann. Cooder arranged Sure 'Nuff 'N Yes I Do & Ugly, Van Vliet arranged the remainder
MAGIC BAND members at this time were:

who was a DJ at the Radio Station I co-founded in the 1970's - and who worked for me at my California record store in the '70s and '80s.
Sadly he has now finally left this mortal coil, bequeathing me his deep Vinyl Mine.
