AMAZING ORiGiNaL MEXICAN pressing of the first Captain Beefheart lp Safe As Milk, here titled Plastic Factory!! Released under the banner of the "Serie Rock Power La Nueva Generacion Electrica" - how about that for a mouthful!! TOTALLY ALTERNATE GATEFOLD COLOR COVER - so cool and SO different from the US release, profiled in a Mojo Collections magazine about 6 or so years ago!!!! So friggin' RaRe too! Released in Mexico on Buddah Records on what looks like a sort of deep groove pressing. Notice the song titles in Spanish with their English equivalent in parentheses. Sleeve is in VG condition overall, inside of gatefold is very nice, outside has some wear and pealing of the laminate at the bottom and top of sleeve. B-side label is pretty much entirely rubbed off - no idea how or when or why. A-side label is still mostly there with some of it having been rubbed off. Record is in VG condition - has a fair amount of surface marking, but plays better than it looks - not a bad pressing at all. What you really need here though is the cover - it is maybe the coolest Beefheart collectible and whether you are a psych fan, garage fan or just a Beefheart fan, you NEED this!!
