TIPSY / DISTENSIONE / GAD-FLY / SEARCH ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST / LIBRARY EP single by CARLO CORDARA featuring HUGO HEREDIA on flute and tenor sax. Original Italian pressing on GOLDEN RECORD label (FC 1025), from 1973. Super-obscure and desirable Italian Library session by the cult arranger and keyboard player. Big record with the few Library collectors who have this one, as this is the EP that features his killer TIPSY theme. Outstanding rare groove with B-boy drums and conga loop intro / hard afro horn section and bassline / fuzz wah wah and fantastic tenor sax by Hugo Heredia. Great for DJs. Comped on Mo'Plen 2000 for the Irma label. DISTENSIONE is groovy / youthful and carefree with that funky Italian hippie ambience of the period. Jazzy e-piano / psychedelic fuzz distortions / flute and hypnotic horns, all played in a Barigozzi Woman's Colours style. This theme was also comped on Mo'Plen 2000. GAD - FLY is obsessive, strange pop cum Baroque funk with wah wah / bugged-out keyboards and stoned moog synthesizer by Cordara. The SEARCH theme is also superb. Catchy and soulful with rhythmic horn section / jangly guitars / spacey flute and hammond organ. Mood music for an unknown Italian soundtrack / television or radio programme. Seldom comes up for sale. Rare Library EP!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG++ condition overall with a few hairlines / paper scuffs from sleeve removal. Old, faded star splash pressing marks to both sides. Surface noises. Some soft pops / soft ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip). Item taken from an unplayed deadstock of records and played once for the recording of the soundclip. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG++ condition overall with some creasing from storage. Ring dirt marks (mostly all to the blank back sleeve). Some wear to corners. Rare Library EP!!!
