SURRENDER NOW / UN UOMO CHE LAVORA / I MADE A MISTAKE / FUOCHI ARTIFICIALI ... 7-inch, 45rpm ITALIAN LIBRARY EP single by CARLO CORDARA e I WATERLOO music written by McKARL and CORDARA. Original Italian pressing on the GOLDEN RECORD label (FC 1044), from circa mid '70s. Super-obscure, exploitation sounds by the cult arranger. Our personal favourite recording from this elusive series. Stoned lounge funk with blaxploitation style horn section / sleazy fuzz wah wah / pounding beats and breaks. This is the EP that features the superior and killer  'instrumental' version of his psychedelic funk theme UN UOMO CHE LAVORA. Punishing rhythms with amazing bassline / B-boy drums / fuzz guitar solos / hammond and hard piano vamps. Great for DJs. The exotic funk of SURRENDER NOW and FUOCHI ARTIFICIALI theme are just as hot with syncopated beats / spacey synthesizers and lots more funky jazz / afro tinged horns. Distinctive and groovy Italian prog sound from the rocked-out guitar player (most probably Massimo Verardi of Fonit UST 177 infamy). The I MADE A MISTAKE theme is soft funk lounge with downtempo hip hop beats / synth and classical piano. Lovely, cinematic feel cum hippie film ambience. Mood music for an unknown Italian soundtrack / television or radio programme. For sure, 3 of the best from the Golden Records label ;) Very rare EP!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with some hairlines and scuffs. Light surface noises. Some soft pops / ticks (as you can hear on the soundclip) but mostly to the intro of the "I Made A Mistake" theme. Booming production sound. The soft card picture sleeve is in strong VG+ condition with some ink fading (front and back). Ring creasing and some general creasing from storage. Light corner wear in places. Very rare EP!!!
