CARLOS PERON Impersonator (Konkurrenz KON 9 - 6435 132) Yello RARE 1st Pressing MINT UNPLAYED!
Very RARE German first (and only) pressing of the solo debut album by Carlos Peron, "Impersonator" on Konkurrenz Records (1981).
A founding member of avantgarde-disco innovators Yello, Carlos Peron closely collaborated with Meier and Blank on the first two Yello albums "Solid Pleasure" (1980) and "Claro Que Si" (1981). Many of the darker atmospherics displayed on these Yello records were a product of Peron`s twisted musical phantasies.
Recorded at Yello`s studios and co-produced with Boris Blank, "Impersonator" continues in the sombre, disquieting vein Of Yello`s original Ralph Records productions. It has more in common with the early industrial synth experimentation of Conrad Schnitzler or Throbbing Gristle than the prickly latin-disco that subsequently became Yello`s trademark.
