Description
Carlton & His Shoes - This Heart of Mine (US/Ja. Quality Records, circa 1981??) GRADING: Cover: VG+(+) has a couple of creases (one rather severe one on the back - see close-up picture) and a 2" seam split to bottom center. Disc: VG++ (has some scuffs, light scratches and a couple of odd marks, but plays beautifully, like M-, listen to the sound clip) Side A LABEL has an odd pressing defect, it's broken up into 3 pieces (see picture) but still does not even go near the playing surface.
I think this is a Jamaican disc (the very thick disc has the feel of a Jamaican pressing) in a USA sleeve, thick USA-style cardboard with a wide spine and the Narrows Enterprises, Brooklyn address. I believe the reissue from a few years ago has the standard type of thin Jamaican cover stock. It is an original issue - I bought this years before it was repressed.
Superb LP from one of Jamaica's greatest vocal groups. Carlton's voice and the group's harmony work are pure bliss. FREE SHIPPING ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD! LISTEN TO THE SOUND CLIP (it plays samples from several tracks.): ...........................................................................................................................................................................................
