"The Philco Radio Hall of Fame" radio show transcription discs recorded by The Blue Network. One complete 60 minute radio program on these two 16 inch, black lacquer acetate coated glass, 33 1/3 rpm discs. These discs were recorded for reference purposes only and not available to the general public, very rare!

These are rare, one of a kind discs with outstanding performances by Carmen Miranda & Kay Thompson
Carmen Miranda sings "Tico Tico" & "South American Way" & an unidentified song in Spanish or Portuguese
Kay Thompson & Her Rhythm Singers perform "Louisiana Purchase" & "Love (Love Can Be A Moment's Madness)". Fantastic vocals by Kay Thompson. Kay Thompson is introduced as "one of the greatest song stylists to ever hit the airwaves"
Gene Austin sings "The Crazy Song", "My Melancholy Baby / After You've Gone", My Blue Heaven". The first two songs feature piano by Gene Austin
Instrumental song by Paul Whiteman & His Orchestra include "Midnight In Paris"
Program includes a comedy spot with Carmen Miranda & Tom Brennaman. Includes a comedy spot with Jimmy Durante & Arthur Treacher where Durante wants Treacher to be his butler. Durante later sings the comedy song "If Washington Needs Me?"

Discs are in Excellent condition with Excellent or better sound, beautiful discs! No cracks on these rare glass discs
