CAROL KIDD- 'ALL MY TOMORROWS'-1985 ALOI (LINN) - JAZZ VOCAL AUDIOPHILE
This was Carol Kidd’s third album, beautifully recorded for Aloi Records which later became Linn. It’s an interesting selection of songs with a few rarities, not often you hear the vocal to Round midnight
She’s got a fine band around her including a guest appearance from a youthful Martin Taylor who already sounds incredible
The sleeve is in excellent condition but for a tiny bit of damage to the top edge. The record itself looks glossy and in excellent condition, no visible scratches however it plays with a bit of crackle in places and and a fair few skips particularly on track one side one. Last two tracks on side one play perfectly. Side two, has a few skips on the first track but plays fine after that albeit with some audible crackle
This often seems the case with mid 80s pressings, my record player tracks very lightly which maybe doesn’t help in this instance
In good nick this is quite a valuable album these days, less so if it skips so priced accordingly
