A quick note: I’ve just started this eBay username to try to separate out my main business - Vinyl Records - from the other items I'm selling. While this username is new and has little feedback, I’ve been on eBay for 19+ years and I invite you to check my feedback under username webvinyl. Thanks!
DESCRIPTION
Carole Simpson - “Steve Allen Presents Carole Simpson Singin’ And Swingin'” Tops Mayfair Records 9732S (Stereo) from 1959. Great Sexy Female Jazz Vocal Album from Carole Simpson. No credits are listed on this Hard to Find Stereo version of this album but at least some of the songs on the album were written by Steve Allen and my understanding is that Simpson did not play Piano on this recording so I am guessing that Allen may well have… He did write the Liner Notes! Nice stuff in any case. On the Blue with Silver Print Stereo Mayfair label.
CONDITION
The Sleeve is in nice shape. There is some very light basic shelf wear and very slight corner softening. Could possibly rate as high as Near Mint but there is a crease in the upper right corner. Still, very clean and solid with no writing, splits, stains, etc. and I would say it should still rate as EX. The Vinyl itself is in Pristine, Glossy condition looking close to unplayed. If you really look closely you can spot a couple light scuffs but I would still say it is visually Near Mint and it plays pretty much perfectly. I am going to call it EX rather than Near Mint to be safe and because the Tops / Mayfair pressing is not the quietest although it might just need a better cleaning than I can provide with my Discwasher brush. The labels are Near Mint.

Very Good (VG): Surface noise will be evident upon playing,... Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
I stand by my grades but would like us to be on the same page so no problems arise. I have been selling Vintage Vinyl for over twenty years on the net and I can count the returns I've had on one hand so I believe my grading is fair and accurate. One important note, I try to grade to these Goldmine guides as best as I can understand and apply them. This gives us both a written standard to go by rather than having to guess. But.... it also means that I don't issue refunds over differences of opinion in grading i.e. "That's not MY idea of a VG record!" - I don't know what your standards are and, as such, can't grade to them. I guarantee that items I sell will meet my description, nothing more or less! If you are not satisfied that a purchase meets my description, I will do what I can to make it right if you give me the chance and work with me! Please feel free to check my feedback.
