NOTES: The Carpenters were a 1970s vocal and instrumental duo, consisting of siblings Karen and Richard Carpenter. With their brand of melodic pop, they charted a score of hit recordings on the American Top 40, becoming leading exponents of the "soft rock" or adult contemporary genre and ranking among the foremost recording artists of the decade. Their initial LP, titled "Offering", featured numerous selections that Richard had written or co-written during their Spectrum period. The most significant track on the album, though, was a ballad rendition of the Beatles' hit "Ticket to Ride", which soon became a minor hit for the Carpenters, and the LP was subsequently retitled "Ticket to Ride" with somewhat improved sales. Album notes from Richard Carpenter :"Karen & I signed with A&M Records in April, 1969, and almost immediately started work on this album. It is definitely a reflection of its time (pre-1969), with the exception of Ticket To Ride. A number of selections on “Offering” were being performed by our group Spectrum as early as 1967. At that time, Karen was not as much into singing as she later became. This explains the number of my leads on this album. We were so anxious to start recording that we recorded our existing repertoire rather than searching for, or writing new material. The drum, bass, cello, solo, keyboards, and background vocals on Bettis’s and my 1967 anti-establishment song, Your Wonderful Parade are from the demo done in Joe Osborn’s garage studio. Only a new lead and real strings were added. All I Can Do is the demo in its entirety. WE USE GOLDMINE STANDARDS FOR GRADING. COVER AND VINYL ARE VISUALLY GRADED

Near Mint (NM or M-) a nearly perfect record. No obvious signs, of wear. Only signs of slight handling.
Very Good Plus (VG+) Some signs of wear, slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect play. Label may have some ring wear, discoloration but barely noticeable. Cover may show slight wear such as lightly turned up corners & slight seam split. LP cover may have slight signs of wear.
Very Good (VG) Many of the defects found in VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG record. Groove wear will start to be noticeable. Labels may have writing, tape or stickers attached. The same will be true of sleeves or LP cover.
Good(G), Good Plus (G+) Record will play without skipping, but will have surface noise, scratches and visible groove wear.
Cover will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear will be evident.
