Description

Custom white & gold 'wing' Victrola (USA) 91013  [mx 2877] Enrico CARUSO (tenor) Non t'amo piu (Denza)

Pressed from Original Master, recorded Milan, Sunday, November 30, 1902, with piano accompaniment by Salvatore Cottone  Original issue: red & gold G&T G.C-52441  Only an UNPLAYED 1st Stamper G&T would sound better!  These special pressings by Victor were made "on demand" from the original masters, in small runs of less than 100 copies on premium shellac - an expensive service for dedicated collectors, discontinued in the late 1940s.  Conservative GRADE: 1-2  Virtually MINT!

Please Note: The shipping cost listed by eBay is incorrect. Please contact me for exact shipping costs. Single shellac 78rp records are heavier than vinyl LPs and fragile.  They require careful packing which adds to the weight of a parcel.   All USA shipments sent at cost plus $2 packing & handling fee via Media Mail w. Delivery Confirmation.  Shipping costs discounted for multiple items.

I have been a dealer in rare 78rpm discs since 1992, and offer only records in TOP Condition - no scratches, stressed grooves, or significant defects.  My grading standards are identical to those of Lawrence F. Holdridge, Milt Weiss, Norbeck Peters & Ford, and other well-known USA dealers.

GRADING

1-2     TOP Condition - no visible wear or significant defects
2         VERY FINE COPY - only a few light non-sounding (NS) rubs or marks
2-3     FINE COPY - a few more light ns rubs, marks, or blemishes
3     VERY GOOD COPY - light gray traces (LGT), usually inaudible, and possibly other superficial, ns flaws, or possibly light-sounding thumps or swish due to inherent pressing defects (fully described)
3-4  GOOD COPY - discs in this category have slightly more audible sonic wear from minor gray traces (MGT) usually on fortissimo passages, and possibly other sounding defects, such as ticks from small scratches (SS) or needle digs (ND)
