Description
Direct from my personal collection of VINYL albums which I purchased new throughout the 1960s & 1970s comes this superb debut album from CAT STEVENS entitled "Mona Bone Jakon". this original first 1st pressing was released during 1970 on the ISLAND Records pink label with the white "I" logo ILPS 9118 with the matrix A2/B2.
CONDITION: The vinyl has retained a super deep gloss, when examined under a strong light the only surface marks visible are those very feint wispy paper scuff lines caused when the record is withdrawn from the inner sleeve. Audio playback is problem free producing a stunning fresh and rounded sound quality. Both labels have nothing worse than some light spindle trace lines. The original plastic lined lyric sleeve has signs of a little discolouration but has not suffered any splits or tears. The non laminated cover simply displays light storage wear, the pinched spine has crisp sharp edges with all text 100% clear and legible; to the front top right hand side there is a surface mark where a small circular self adhesive index label has been removed.
So all things considered a highly respectable copy of this much prized vinyl album, in accordance with the Record Collectors grading system I have rated the vinyl EXCELLENT with the cover rated VERY GOOD+
