Some words on this issue: CATAPILLA: “S/T” (Vertigo – 6360 029) (Record: Excellent ~ Near Mint/ Gatefold Jacket: Near Mint). First Catapilla record on the Vertigo swirl label and the best one in my book. Totally underrated but so fucking great. “A genuinely astounding album that seems to cut across time and space: while the knotty, complex jazz-rock backing and lengthy tracks (up to 24 min.9 are early 70s in every regard, Anna Meek’s vicious, nasal yowl and nihilistic no future lyrics are pure class-of-77 punk. Indeed, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear that Johnny Rotten learned his vocal craft from this LP. The two extended cuts are stunning enough, but it’s on the shorter pieces “Promises” and “Tumbleweed” that the band really evinces the future: the former is the punkiest thing on the album, whilst the latter sounds exactly like the product of some early 80s indie outfit” (RF – Galactic Ramble). Great copy on the highly collectible Vertigo label and a total head-trip for sure. Anna Meek’s vocals definitely rule!!! Very rare 1971 UK Original First Issue LP on VERTIGO (1Y//1 - 2Y//1 stamped matrix numbers & Original label; see photos), with Howards Printers Gatefold Picture Sleeve & the Original Swirl Inner, in a very nice condition

Our grading scale: Mint/ Near Mint/ Excellent/ VG++/. We don’t sell anything below VG++. VG++ grade is basically that the record has some scuffs and has wear. Excellent: record has hardly no visible defects and is preserved with care and attention, the condition most collectors take pride in to file away. Near Mint: a dash below mint, just perfect. Mint: like new.
