CELIA CRUZ
“LA DINAMICA”
Con La Sonora Matancera
(With The Sonora Matancera)
MEGARARE and HARD TO FIND original SEECO Records very first High Fidelity Mono press released, made and distributed in Chile in 1960 by Industrias Eléctricas Y Musicales Odeon S.A. (Odeon Records Chile), with catalog number SCLP-9192, with machine etched matrix numbers MC 20323 RD in Side A and MC 20323 RD S2 (“S” inverted) in Side B, with RARE red/gold SEECO Records labels. It’s interesting to see that in back cover the sides are identified as “Faz Uno” (Side One) and “Faz Dos” (Side Two) but in labels they are identified as “A” and “B”, and also that in Chile the catalog number is the same original SEECO Records catalog number. Yes Sirs, ANOTHER FIND from Chile!!!
“LA DINAMICA” was originally released early ‘60’s and though even the year of press isn’t informed in labels or cover, it’s a fact this record was released in Chile early 1960, because in label of Side A it’s written the price “Eº5,775” and Chile changed the coin in 1960 from “PESO” ($) to “ESCUDO” (Eº) and the tax was paid, as informed in label, in accord to the law of 1953. Like so many times in that period, we got it with an UNIQUE COVER made of two single pieces of a very thin cardboard with 2 sheets of paper attached (not glued) to those cardboards for both front and back covers, kept together for an outer plastic bag which’s part of the cover. Front cover keeps the original artwork of original SEECO Records issue, with all text written only in Spanish, with SEECO Records logo at bottom right corner. Back cover is totally different, with all text written in Spanish only, with tracklist with full credits for songwriters and name of the style of each song and a long review about the album and the Cuban folk music. In labels the information is the same, album title in Spanish and tracklist with credits for songwriters and style of each song. Yes Sirs, another very interesting album in one of the RAREST issues worldwide for this great but underrated album. And now you have the chance to own this RARE record with an UNIQUE COVER and MEGARARE red/silver SEECO Records LABELS!!! And, considering the years, this record is in GREAT CONDITION!!! WOW!!!
The cover was already described and it’s in great VG or VG+ both the front and back cover, clean and clear, complete, with only minimal wear in corners with a squared white paper with the number “5574” at top right corner of front cover, no bends, some faint blemishes and age browning in back cover. The outer plastic bag is present and in VG- or VG condition with rips in the edges and blemishes. You could think the cover is dirty, but it’s only the plastic outer bag and I’ve not wanted to remove it because in spite of the years it has protected very well the paper cover. Record is thick and it’s in VG or VG+ condition both sides, still glossy and clean, but with loads and loads of scuffs, hairlines and some light scratches, which don’t affect the play. Labels on both sides are in great EX- or EX condition, clean and clear, but it has a paper with the number “5574” in Side A and some spindle hole wear in Side B. The sound is the best part, it’s in strong VG+ or EX- condition both sides, loud, clear and clean, with a soft background noise (surface noise is normal in records from Chile), minimal constant soft crackles and very occasional light clicks, which don’t affect sound, somehow I’d recommend a professional vacuum cleaning. Overall it’s a MEGARARE record, not for Minty minds, but with and UNIQUE COVER still with a very nice clean look, great labels and still an amazing sound quality after more than 50 years, which won’t disappoint anyone, a record to listen, dance and enjoy from the beginning to the end!!! Yes Sirs, what a FIND!!! Click on the pictures to enlarge and see the labels and cover in detail. WOW!!!
Bid with confidence and don’t wait until the last second because you could lose the chance to get a real collectable record from Chile (South America) in superb condition like this copy is. Thanks for watching and bidding, good luck and best regards from Chile
_________________________________________________________
We don’t use the generic “VG” most of South American sellers use to hide poor quality conditions or “NM” or “Mint” for records which aren’t even clean and sound less than a normal “VG” in professional standards. We use the Record Collector’s Grading System with a little modification: we don’t use MINT grade but for Sealed records and we can use a + or – to show a most professional accurate description.
MINT (M): I only use this grade for Sealed records.
NEAR MINT (NM): The record itself is in like new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality (only some very very very light hairlines caused for the record rubbing the sleeve). The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in like perfect condition.
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality, maybe some surface marks which doesn’t affect play. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR (F): The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR (P): The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
BAD (B): The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
PAYMENT
PayPal (send me a message if you offer some other way to pay that we can accept)
Payment must be received within the first 7 seven days after the auction is ended.
If you pay via PayPal and PayPal holds the money (with status “Completed – Funds Not Yet Available” in my PayPal account), I will consider the items paid when funds are available in my PayPal account (this could happen after 21 days buyer paid in accord to PayPal policies). If you don’t want to take the risk to have to wait those 21 days please wait for my invoice and instructions.
SHIPPING (Packing and Postage)
We have an unique value worldwide:
GBP15 for weight until 1kg (usually 1 or 2 records 12" depending of thickness of the vinyl)
GBP25 for weight 1-2kg (usually 3-5 records 12")
GBP7 for one 7” record
All records will be packed outside of the sleeve to avoid damages in the cover and all records will be sent with tracking number via Small Packet or Parcel Post services.
In the case PayPal informs me the funds are “PENDING” in my account, the record will be shipped immediately after PayPal releases the payment and funds are available. Please, remember that in my auctions the buyer pays for shipping and if the money isn’t available in my PayPal account I can’t ship the records. I know this could be an inconvenient, but I hope you can understand that PayPal places on hold the money, not me.
FEEDBACK
We don’t have anything to hide and we know the buyers expect to receive feedback after to pay for the items they win. Most of sellers say to give feedback when buyers leave feedback first. But we know that’s not fair for buyers. So, we leave feedback immediately after to receive the payment, because we understand that’s the part that buyers must receive feedback for. And we expect to receive a positive feedback from buyers who receive the records immediately after they have got the records.
In the case PayPal has placed on hold the payment, feedback will be left when buyer has received the record and expressed his/her satisfaction with a possitive feedback.
IMPORTANT TO READ
We are not responsible for all the taxes, duties, fees you could have to pay in your country, but I always declare the records as gift.
If you have some doubt or question feel free to contact us, we will be glad to answer all that you want to know about this item.
The new policy of PayPal to place on hold the payments:
“Your transactions are placed on hold as we are unable to confirm that the items have been shipped. We encourage you to provide tracking numbers for the items you are shipping to protect you as a seller through PayPal’s Seller Protection Policy. This hold is implemented to all eBay sites. This is part of the security measures to help buyers and sellers have successful business transactions.”
“I would like to assure you that this hold placed on your payments is an additional measure taken by eBay and PayPal to protect you as a seller. Both your eBay and PayPal accounts are being reviewed regularly to see how we can further help you maintain successful transactions and good reputation for your seller account.”
THIS NEW POLICY IS AGAINST BUYERS AND SELLERS!!!
Buyers pay for shipping in my auctions, so it’s obvious that if money is placed on hold the seller (me) won’t have that money available to ship the items. What kind of help is that? Buyers deserve respect and I don’t see how to place on hold the payments will help to “maintain successful transactions”… My buyers and me don’t need that kind of help!!! The comments I get prove the quality of the records I sell and the satisfaction of my buyers with the service I give. I hope you can understand that I try to give all the satisfaction possible and records are sent when payments are available in my PayPal account but if PayPal decides to place on hold your payment and the money you pay for shipping, then it’s PayPal the responsible for the extra delay of 21 days, NOT ME.
