Description
CHAMPION JACK DUPREE - From New Orleans to Chicago
(Decca LK 4747 UK LP 1966)
This is the original UK mono pressing with a front laminated sleeve & its original polythene lined company inner sleeve. It has red unboxed Decca labels with 1st press -1A/ -1A matrix stmpers. A very nice mid 1960s blues LP which see's Champion Jack Dupree backed by the cream of the UK blues scene ie., Eric Clapton, John Mayall, Tony McPhee, Malcolm Pool, Keef Hartley & Bill Short. Produced by Mike Vernon.
Sleeve: Very tiny 1cm tear at front sleeve opening - otherwise light laminate creasing & fading to rear. VG+ condition
Vinyl: Light sleeve rubs & very occasional light hairline mark. VG+ condition. Plays very well with minimal crackle. Labels are nice & clean & show mild to moderate spindle wear.
PLEASE SEE MY OTHER ITEMS - LOTS OF QUALITY VINYL! MOST ARE U.K. 1st PRESSINGS
ALL GRADING IS VERY STRICT & ADHERES TO 'RECORD COLLECTOR' SPECIFICATIONS. ALL VINYL IS EXAMINED CLOSELY UNDER STRONG LIGHT & PLAY TESTED
MINT Condition = AS good as a copy you would buy from a shop, immaculate!
NEAR MINT Condition = Very nearly mint just slightly under, maybe a couple of very, very light paper sleeve scuffs that can only be seen under strong light. SOME WOULD CLASS THIS AS MINT, this disc has been played a couple of times at most. Cover is virtually perfect - very minimal wear only.
EX Condition = A clean & tidy copy that shows virtually no defects, maybe one or two light needle scuffs or light sleeve removal marks, that can only be seen under strong light, but no scratches. Play will be near perfect with no distortion. Cover will be very nice with maybe very minimal creasing, ringwear or edgewear.
NEAR EX Condition = You can tell this record has been played a few times but it has been well cared for. There will be minor surface marks only; that barely detract from the sound quality. Cover may have slight creasing or ringwear. A very serviceable copy that you will be pleased with.
VG Condition = A well played but serviceable copy. There will be a few marks on the vinyl, but they won't be nasty scratches, just relatively light needle scuffs and sleeve removal marks, they will be noticeable but won't detract from play too much. Cover will show signs of storage/ ageing, e.g., creasing, slight folding, spinewear, ringwear or sticker tears. The record will not be trashed!!
