Change return to such flooring form, they could make a master carpenter jealous: that is, with a rework of 'The Mood', lifted from their recent Embrace LP - not just a chart-topping release on the UK Soul Chart but a sharp new chapter for the long-running group. Fronted by Tanya Michelle Smith, whose vocals steer this cut with cool precision, the track leans into the Minneapolis funk palette of the early 80s; ingest those crisp snares, slap bass and synth glints, all in the spirit of Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. This remix, handled by Stefano Colombo (Figo Sound) and Gianluigi Tarnassi (JL), amps the club potential with tight edits and a fatter mixdown. Also included is their flip of 'Got 2 Get Up', previously vinyl-only.
