This is the original first pressing of the classic album by saxophonist Charles Lloyd from 1967 on Atlantic: Catalogue number SD 1473, stereo pressing, original US green/blue Atlantic label, gatefold cover!
"Forest flower", recorded live at the Monterey Jazz Festival in 1966 by the Charles Lloyd Quartet featuring Keith Jarrett (piano), Cecil McBee (bass) and Jack DeJohnette (drums), gets impressive 5 stars in "The Rolling Stone Jazz Record Guide", and impressive 5 stars in "AllMusic":
"It is difficult to believe that, with players so young (and having been together under a year), Lloyd was able to muster a progressive jazz that was so far-reaching and so undeniably sophisticated, yet so rich and accessible... By the time the band reaches its final number... they have touched upon virtually the entire history of jazz and still pushed it forward with seamless aplomb. Forest Flower is a great live record".

Grading scale : M-, E, VG, G. +/- for differentiation.
Unless otherwise noted, my records are play-graded. I play through all records on a Technics SL-QD33 with a Technics P30 stylus. Grading and comments on sound are purely my opinion and therefore subjective. The same record/LP may sound different on another system or setup. Please contact me with any questions. All of my records are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard mailers. I will add two cardboard supports, and the record will be out of sleeve to prevent seam splits.
