Description
Very rare 1963 Impulse Records, original pressing with RVG (Rudy Van Gelder) mastering stamp, packaged in a beautiful thick laminated gatefold sleeve. Mingus's absolute masterpiece, and one of the greatest jazz albums of all time, incredibly powerful and dynamic sound on the original thick 60s vinyl.
VPI cleaned and play graded, the record has some light superficial marks, but mostly none that interfere with the sound at all. The whole 1st side plays a strong VG+, very clean. There is unfortunately one small but feelable scratch around the beginning of Track 2 on Side 2 that does cause some light ticks and surface noise for about a minute or so, hence the VG grade, the rest would otherwise grade a solid VG+. The iconic Impulse gatefold cover is in fantastic condition its age, a strong VG+, some edge wear and light rubbing, otherwise looks great. Includes original ABC-Impulse inner sleeve as well.
Packed and shipped with care. You can combine any records I am selling for a significant shipping discount. Thanks.
