Description

I bought this record new in the mid 1980's from an import record shop in Melbourne and taped it straight away. It has only been played a half dozen or so times since then, most recently just before listing. The vinyl on both sides is clean and shiny, no scratches, skips or jumps, and both labels are clean. Both sides play LOUD and clear (VG++). The cover is clean both sides, however there is a small, faint mark on the back just to the right of the Arhoolie logo where the distributor's (Tempo) label was, and there is some wear along the bottom from years of storage, and some light yellowing around the edges on the back (despite being kept in a plastic cover). Over all the cover is still in great condition, the spine is still rigid and can be easily read in the shelf. There are no tears or splits, no writing or stickers. There is a paper inner cover into  which  I have inserted a plastic inner cover to keep the record clean and free from scratches and scuffs that sometimes occur with the paper covers. I have not dated the record as it is unclear when exactly it was pressed. The original recording was issued in 1974, and I bought this record new in 1985 the etched numbers in the dead wax runouts are:

I'm guessing that the "RE" is an indication that this pressing is a re issue. Discogs have this pressing with this matrix as being issued in 1974, the same year as the original issue, but I think that might be wrong as I purchased my new copy ten years after that date, more likely to be 1984.
