Description

For sale - from my personal collection - the following 2LP set:

ARTIST:   CHARLIE PATTON

TITLE:      FOUNDER OF THE DELTA BLUES

LABEL:    Yazoo Records, catalog no. L-1020, MONO, GATEFOLD COVER, made in USA. Plain paper inner sleeves.

YEAR:      1971. Original pressing. No bar code on back cover.

Gold print on black Yazoo label.

8-page booklet with lyrics and photos affixed between the two inner covers.

CONDITION:

- front cover is VG / possibly VG+ (having some overall shelf wear and advanced ring wear)

- back cover is VG+ (having some light shelf wear and some ring wear)

- vinyl is NM all four sides - possibly MINT (VISUAL GRADING)

COMMENTS:

28 tracks total, 14 tracks on each record 1 and 2. Anthology type album containing Charlie Patton's most representative tracks recorded between 1929 and 1934. All original recordings. A must-have early blues music album in any blues library. Rare 2LP set, the only copy I've ever seen. Highly recommended!

Album offered at lower price due to the lesser condition of the cover.
