Description

Columbia 10-inch 78 RPM record # 15116-D is "Leaving Home" and "There'll Come a Time" by Charlie Poole and the North Carolina Ramblers. (The former is actually a version of "Frankie and Johnny".) Tony Russell's iconic "Country Music Records Discography" tells me both sides were recorded in New York in September, 1926.

Visually, it is heavily played, with some visible surface scuffs and scratches and dull spots. I have played both sides on my Audio-Technica turntable, and there were no skips or jumps, but varying degrees of background noise, much of it light and very tolerable, but also including some clicks and pops and passages of ticking.  Because of variations in tracking ability, filtering technology and needle weights, I can offer no guarantees as to how well it will play on your equipment.
