CHARLIE VENTURA’S CARNEGIE HALL CONCERT – NORGRAN MG N 1041 – VG+/VG+ – MONO
This was recorded on April 5, 1947 at Carnegie Hall in New York City, featuring Charlie Ventura on tenor, Charlie Shavers on trumpet, Bill Harris on trombone, Ralph Burns, Mary Lou Williams and Hank Jones on piano, Bill DeAngelo on guitar, Margie Hyams on vibes, Curley Russell and Chubby Jackson on bass, Dave Tough and Big Sid Catlett on drums and Buddy Stewart on vocals. SIDE A: CHARIATICALLY B.H.; SUMMERTIME and SID FLIPS HIS LID. SIDE B: RALPH BURNS UP (Lover Come Back To Me); I DON’T STAND A GHOST OF A CHANCE WITH YOU and JUST YOU, JUST ME. The cover art is by David Stone Martin. This is a MONO recording.
I have rated the LP as EX and the record jacket as VG+ for the following reasons. The LP has a few light marks, which do not interfere with play. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The record jacket has a taped seam on the top and bottom of the jacket. Other than that, there is no sign of wear, as it’s quite clean. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.
PLEASE NOTE! eBay recently excluded the following countries for bids on vinyl records and CDs. Excluded are: Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Ukraine, United Arab Emirates, Bulgaria, Latvia, Thailand, Romania, Russian Federation, Vietnam, South Africa and China. If you wish to bid, please contact me through eBay and I can place your eBay ID in a list, which allows you to bid. If you are considering bidding, please do it as soon as possible as I will not be able to do it at the last minute. Once you are on the list, you will be able to bid on future auction. Thanks, Tom
PAYMENT & SHIPPING
Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.8 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $2.98 or by Priority Mail @ $5.80 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $20.45 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
