TIME TO RETURN TO 45s!! This is a reasonably priced original 1956 U.S. Vita Records 45 RPM record containing the doo-wop tunes titled 'Valley Of Love' backed with 'Red Tape' from vocal group The Chavelles. It is Vita Records U.S. catalog number 45-V-127, light blue Vita Records labels with dark blue print. This 45 is a GUARANTEED 1956 ORIGINAL, NOT A 'REPRO' REPRODUCTION OR A LATER COLLECTOR'S PRESSING. Both sides of this 45 can be heard on You Tube. I have to grade this 45 at a VG-/VG level, mainly due to a small area that extends through about the outer one-fourth of the play area on both sides of the record which appears to have gotten a slight amount of heat damage at some point, and which plays with a slight hissing noise through this area. Condition of record would otherwise be a low VG+ with a moderate amount of light surface marks, none of which can be felt or will affect play. Record plays through nicely with a little bit of light surface noise except in the areas mentioned above. A-side label has a very small tear, both labels have some writing in pencil and gold marker and some contact wear as can be seen in the accompanying image. I have priced this rare 45 according to its condition - Still a worthy addition to any roots rock-n-roll or doo-wop record collection!
