CHENE NOIR
"ORPHEE 2000"
1976 FRENCH PRIVATE press original LP - chene noir disques volume 2- c.n.002.
Disc:NM Cover:VG++/EX
MASTERPIECE AND MEGARARE experimental psych spiritual jazz lp rarest 70's French albums.The music is built around an avantgarde theatrical production / psychedelic happening featuring haunting jazz with sensual / thought-provoking poetry. This theme segues into the equally breath-taking LA MUSIQUE DES AMANTS and LA MUSIQUE D'ORPHEE (compiled by our friend, Mr Ash aka Digger's Digest on Freedom Jazz France for the Heavenly Sweetness label). Other eclectic themes we have recorded, include the amazing, middle-eastern - Arabian tinged ethnic jazz of LE REVE SAINTES-MARIES-DE-LA-MAR (with rim-shot bossa drum patterns) and the hypnotic, bass driven MUSIQUE DE LA NUIT :) Beautifully crafted jazz / poetry and social commentary with cosmic tales of life / death / social politics and humanity. Mood music that reminds us of a more trippy Full Moon Ensemble - Samba Miaou. A must for lovers of lyrical free-jazz / experimental French groove a la Brigitte Fontaine / François Tusques etc etc.!!!!!
