Description
This is one of the more sought after of all the Chesky titles. It is titled "Gershwin - Rhapsody In Blue / American In Paris" (RC-8). Performances are by The Boston Pops, conducted by Arthur Fiedler, and Earl Wild, pianist. This recording was originally done by RCA Victor and was released as one of the famous RCA Shaded Dog albums (LSC-2367). The original 1960's first generation 3 track tape was used for this 180 gram audiophile re-issue. A Apex 300 series three track tape deck was retubed and completely rebuilt. A modified tube pre-amp was used to feed the signal directly to the lathe, bypassing the mixing console and equalizers. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ************************************************************************************ The record is beautiful with no marks, scratches or signs of play of any kind. The labels have no spindle marks. The jacket is very nice with no splits or tears.
