CHET BAKER QUINTET - FEATURING RUSS FREEMAN – PACIFIC JAZZ PJLP 6 – 10 INCH – VG+/EX – MONO
Recorded in Los Angeles on October 3, 1953, this session features Chet Baker on trumpet, Russ Freeman on piano, Carson Smith on bass and Larry Bunker on drums. SIDE 1: NO TIES; BAND AID; THE THRILL IS GONE and ALL THE THINGS YOU ARE. SIDE 2: LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY; HAPPY LITTLE SUNBEAM; MOON LOVE and BEA’S FLAT. This is a 10 inch LP and a MONO recording.
I have rated this LP as VG+ and the record jacket as EX for the following reasons. The LP has a few very fine marks on the vinyl, which do not interfere with play. It just misses an EX rating, but I tend to rate low, so you’re not disappointed. The spindle hole shows no wear and no marks around it on either side. The only surface noise on this is at the very beginning of play on both sides of the LP. The record jacket is in excellent condition with no taped seams and very little sign of wear.
