• VINYL GRADE A/B: VG+/VG+   play-grade  *there were a few surface marks and blems that created minimal background & surface noise. It certainly did not affect the listening experience of this great garage rarity.
• NOTES:  There is a small piece of tape on A Side that I did not try to peel off. B Side is a rocker!

• INFO: This record is a known release that was recorded at the Fenton studios and then released on a different label. I was not able to find out much else about the history of the band. The record is highly ranked as one of the rarest '60's garage 45's!  (currently ranked  #115 on the G45 Legend site @  www.finerecordingstudio.com) The 2007 Price Guide from Jerry Osborne listed this 45 in the $400-600 range.

GRADING STANDARDS:  Conservative Goldmine Grading Standards are used, in addition to my own personal grades that capture other conditions that I feel are important distinctions (listed in RED). I will indicate whether vinyl was visually graded or play graded, and include any pertinent comments in NOTES field.  Sleeve grading applies to Picture Sleeves or Original Sleeves only. and a generic sleeve will always be provided if neither available.

VINYL GRADING:

• Near Mint ( NM )   A nearly perfect record and my highest grade.  Records are shiny, with no visible defects. Writing, stickers or other markings will not appear on the label, nor any "spindle marks". If played, it will do so with no surface noise.
• Near Mint Minus ( NM- ) Slightly lower grade than NM grade because record  may have any one of the listed visible defects found in a Near Mint record.
• Very Good Plus Plus ( VG++ ) This is the higher end of a VG+ grade and except for something minor would be a NM-/NM record. It will have fewer of the listed defects found in a VG+ record.
• Very Good Plus ( VG+ )    A Very Good Plus record will show some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experiences. Record may also have slight warps that do not affect the sound. Record may show minor signs of handling , such as telltale marks around the center.
• Very Good ( VG )   Many of the defects listed for a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound, causing a momentary click or isolated pop. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.    
• Good (G)   A record in good condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping, although it will have more severe audible surface noise and scratches than a VG record. Visible groove wear may also be evident, and labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.  
• Good Minus (G-) This is my lowest grade reserved for those "harder-to-find" records. A record in Good Minus condition will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear may be evident. Occasional "non-repeating" skips may also be heard. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached.    

SLEEVE GRADING:

• Near Mint ( NM )   A nearly perfect sleeve. It will have no creases, folds,seam splits, or any signs of human handling.  The sleeve will have no cutout markings of any kind, and it also will have no ring wear.
• Near Mint Minus ( NM- ) Slightly lower grade than NM grade because sleeve may have any one of the above listed visible defects found in a Near Mint sleeve.
• Very Good Plus Plus ( VG++ ) This is the higher end of a VG+ grade and except for something minor would be a NM-/NM sleeve. It will have fewer of the listed defects found in a VG+ sleeve.
• Very Good Plus ( VG+ )    A Very Good Plus sleeve will show minor signs of wear, but like the vinyl was handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. A VG+ sleeve might have some very minor seam wear or a seam split (less than one inch long) at the bottom, the most vulnerable location. The cover might be marred by a cutout marking (cut corner, small hole punch, etc) or promotional stamp. There might also be some slight signs of handling, such as light creasing at the corners, or 'bend' creasing at various spots. There may also be slight signs of wear at the most vulnerable areas and even a tiny bit of ring wear.
• Very Good ( VG )   Many of the defects found in a VG+ sleeve will be more pronounced in a VG sleeve. It will have more signs of wear, such as minor seam splits on any side, although these seam splits will still not be overwhelming. Also, there may be minor writing, tape, or a sticker which also detract. Other signs of handling will be more evident, ring wear, for example,  which affect the entire sleeve to a minor degree.
