Description
This is an out of print copy of the classic first CHICAGO LP on the Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs label from 1984. When the album was originally released in 1968 the band was known as the CHICAGO TRANSIT AUTHORITY, thus the title of this record. This two LP set was pressed in Japan by JVC on translucent black vinyl and Half-Speed Mastered from the Original Stereo Master Tapes. Both LP's have a special static free, dust free inner sleeve and heavy-duty protective inner packaging. This record has been out of print for over 25 years. I am the original owner and this record has been stored in a non-smoking environment!.
This record is graded Mint by Goldmine standards. The vinyl surfaces are pristine and the label has no spindle marks.
The jacket is graded Near Mint. The corners are not perfect and there is some slight wear the edges of the sleeve. Otherwise the jacket is clean and bright with no seam splits, ring wear, or other signs of abuse.
This is truly a stunning copy of this rare and classic LP.
I will package the record outside of the jacket in a protective plastic sleeve to prevent jacket(seam) splitting. The record is then shipped in a heavy cardboard container with pads for additional protection.
