Chicken Shack 'Accept' 1970 UK original vinyl album on the Blue Horizon label, catalogue number S7 63861 (stereo)
The numbers and letters stamped on the vinyl are:- Side One: S7 63861 A1 Side Two: S7 63861 B1
This is a heavy vinyl and it is not warped. Both sides of this vinyl have some light lines and marks caused by bag movement and a few that are due to careless stylus contact. However, I can only feel one of them which crosses track 2 on Side Two and it does cause ticks, on and off, through that track and on to the start of track 4 when it stops - it actually stops shortly after the linking grooves between tracks 2 and 3, with only four clicks at the start of track 3. Other than this, it is obvious that this vinyl has not been played very much at all and the audio is very clear with barely any lessening of quality throughout the other twelve tracks (there is a little crackle and surface sound, but nothing much more than you would get with a new vinyl).
The track titles can be seen on the label photographs. The labels have very few spindle lines, no writing, no damage.
The cover is a gatefold type, it does not have any coating or laminate and I always found this one hard to keep in good shape because it wears really easily, but it's pretty good. The front and back surfaces both have some surface rub wear, mainly where the top and bottom of the record would sit. On the front there is also a surface scuff, bottom left, and similar on the back, bottom right. There is scuffing also along the top and bottom seams and a few tiny dents at the open edge. The centre piece is excellent, just a little surface rub wear.
The spine is scuffed down the edges, but remains fully readable - which I think is rare on this album.
The inner sleeve is the original CBS inner, black on white, showing photographs of other CBS albums (Blue Horizon was owned by CBS). The inner sleeve is fully intact, no seam splits, no tear, just a little off colour and slightly creased.
I have checked the Record Collector grading system and I would say that the cover is very good' (possibly '+') and although I am going to grade the record and audio as 'very good', most of it (twelve tracks apart from track 2, Side Two are much nearer 'excellent') and the audio is really great.
I have described this as carefully and honestly as possible, but it is a no return item so please bid accordingly.
It will be packed in a record mailing box (cruciform) with two pieces of card inside for further protection.
