CHICKEN SHACK - Accept - UK EX Blue Horizon LP A1/B1
The time has come to bite the bullet and sell more of my vinyl collection - some classical, some jazz, some pop, rock, folk & psych. I know it won't be appreciated by my daughter or the next generation, so I'm shifting it myself and hope I find good homes for it. The hard work is deciding what to let go first, but it will probably be duplicates, stuff I have on CD and items unplayed for ages and I'll pick at random from these so there should be a decent mix. You never know, there might just be something to suit your taste.
This listing is for a nice original copy of Chicken Shack's fourth album - Accept - on the great Mike Vernon's Blue Horizon label.

Stan the man & co serving up another helping. Good stuff from the ever classy Blue Horizon stable
Condition:
Cover: Gatefold sleeve, unlaminated, clean. Light signs of edge and ring wear and the odd knock but nothing serious. Spine is strong and clearly legible. No writing or stickers. However it has a factory fault in that the print process misaligned for one of the runs so the colours are not precisely in alignment resulting in a ghosted outer cover image. That's the sort of thing that would add lots of value to a Beatles or Led Zep cover, but not to this one. Just be aware that it's a bit fuzzy - it's a fairly gloomy picture anyway!
Labels: Blue Horizon matt labels, bright and clean. The odd light white patch and rub - not through over use but again I think these are minor printing misses - all clearly visible on pictures. Just a few spindle marks. No writing or stickers. Vinyl: Very nice glossy vinyl, retaining its original lustre and bearing just the odd customary paper scuff. Plays excellent with just the odd hint of static crackle in quiet patches / between tracks. I have never attempted to clean this album, so there's every chance that a good clean will improve playback even more by removing any dust and static..
Overall:
A good solid cover but with printing flaw housing an excellent copy of this album - I'd guess that this might be professionally graded at (cover / vinyl) VG+ / EX.

Postage: Approximate prices - UK £3.00 for 1 or 2 LPs, Europe £5.20 + £1.80 each additional, Rest of world £8.30 + £3.70 each additional item - these amounts include estimated actual Royal Mail cost for first class or air mail, plus 40p for cost of packaging material (a brand new custom mailer with stiffener).
