CHOCOLATE WATCH BAND Inner Mystique RARE ORIG PROMO LP

Chocolate Watch Band

Inner Mystique
Label:
Tower (ST-5106)
Format:
LP
Year:
1968
Cover:
VG+
Vinyl:
VG+
Notes:
Absolutely beautiful stereo copy of Chocolate Watch Band's hard to find sophmore effort, Inner Mystique. The cover is in fantastic shape with sharp corners, solid seams, and just a slight hint of ring wear. The record itself has a few hairline scratches and some paper scuffs, but nothing deep or ugly. I've run it through my VPI and play tested it. The record sounds fantastic! Also, the labels are very clean with just a couple light spindle marks. This record has been very well preserved.
And the kicker... it has a "FOR DJ USE" stamp on the back cover. I've never seen a white label promo of this record and I'm not sure one exists. But this here is the closest thing you'll find to an early promo use copy of the record.
A difficult one to let go of so I've set a modest reserve.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
All records have been professionally cleaned using a VPI HW-16.5 Cleaning Machine.
- GRADING
(Records graded conservatively)
M (Mint) - No record is graded Mint, ever.
NM (Near Mint) - Sealed records or opened ones that are nearly perfect.
EX (Excellent) - Very few visible flaws. Covers have sharp corners with small imperfections. Maybe some light sleeve scuffs or a couple light scratches on the record.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) - Cover may have small bends in the corners, beginning stages of ring wear, small seam splits, writing or slight discoloration, but not a combination of all of these. Records have been played but carefully handled. Noticeable marks on the vinyl that shouldn't cause any audible defects. Your "average," very acceptable record.
VG (Very Good) - Covers have ring wear, moderate seam splits, writing, stains, etc. The vinyl has numerous scratches and scuffs. Clicks and pops may be apparent, but not overwhelming. Records should not skip.
VG- (Very Good Minus) - Considerable wear to the cover and record. Any combination of water damage, ring wear, large seam splits, writing, and discoloration to the cover. Record has scratches that could be felt with a finger nail and should play with noise and possibly skip.
G (Good) - This should be called BAD. Only really rare records at drastically reduced prices should be bought in this condition.
