COVER STOCK WITH SOME LIGHT RUB WEAR AND RING IMPRESSION ON FRONT. FRONT LEFT CORNERS ALSO WITH CREASE LINES(NOT NOTICEABLE ON BACK). BOTTOM EDGE SPLIT DEAD CENTER ABOUT THREE INCHES. EDGES WITH SOME ROUGH SPOTS, SPINE EDGE WITH SOME BEGINNING OUTER LAYER LOSS ROUGH SPOTS.

Paint It Farlowe was one of several compilations of Chris Farlowe's work released late in the history of Immediate Records, as the label sought to exploit one of their relatively few major artists by recycling his past work. In this instance, it was a U.S. release, offered through distributor Columbia Records and a chance for American fans to buy "Out of Time" and Farlowe's soul covers from the two prior albums and various singles and EPs. It wasn't a bad album -- in fact, most of what's here is better than good -- but it was a little bit late, coming at a point where the audience for soul music was splintering amid late-era psychedelia and other rival sounds.

The following is a general overview about grades, subject to any above notations: MINT indicates pristine vinyl without any marks on surface. MINT MINUS may contain one or two very light surface marks from play or sleeve wear under light. If you are a real collector, you'll know that even a factory sealed LP occasionally has some light sleeve or rub marks. Anything in the VG category would contain more than two surface marks or have some other visible signs of ring or hole wear. Rarely do I offer something in the "G" state. If I do, it's usually a rare LP and priced accordingly. Values are assigned according to market availability and rarity, not a price guide.
