Cibo Matto was a Japanese-American band formed in 1994 in New York City by Yuka Honda and Miho Hatori. They only ever put out one album together as a twosome and that was Viva! La Woman after which Sean Lennon, Timo Ellis and Duma Love joined the team. As such the record is a standalone in terms of sound and is a worldly fusion of pop, trip hop, alternative and plenty more. Lyrically, the album most muses on the joys of food as the titles suggest. As innovative and catchy as it is weird and wonderful, this critically acclaimed album now makes it back on to vinyl with a special insert.
