Blue Sky Noise is the third album by Circa Survive. It was released on April 20, 2010, by Atlantic Records. This album marks a change in stylistic direction as it deviates from the band's previous blend of post-hardcore andprogressive rock towards a more refined, indie rock influenced sound.
Studio recording was completed at the end of October 2009 and mixing was completed on February 1, 2010 byRich Costey.[8] Mastering was by Howie Weinberg.[9]
On February 16, 2010, the band announced that its new album would be titled Blue Sky Noise, and would be released on April 20, 2010. The album was available for pre-order, and those who did so received a digital copy of the full deluxe version one week before the album's release, along with "Get Out" immediately on order. Circa Survive started filming a music video for "Get Out" on February 24 in New York City. On March 30, Circa Survive released "Imaginary Enemy" on their website.
As with Circa Survive's previous two albums, the album artwork was created by Esao Andrews.
