Vinyl 45rpm ep 10" CITY THRILLS st, released 1981 on Star Rhythm Records (EP-4001). Promo stamp on the front board. Superior power-pop by this Boston-based combo formerly known as Thrills, whose lone single was featured on Rhino Records 90's DIY-series compilation, MASS. AVE. - THE BOSTON SCENE (1975-83). Merle Allin (later of Cheater Slicks and baby-brother G.G. Allin's Murder Junkies) cut his teeth with City Thrills as the band endured Boston's also-ran scene. Like a lot of deserving area icons, City Thrills suffered from regional bias that relegated(es) Boston as a backwater to New York.
