The third volume in Four Flies' Italian Library Songbook series revives a long-shelved treasure from Giuliano Sorgini - the shadowy instrumental 'Awakening (Part I)', originally recorded in 1974 for a nature documentary, and now seeing first release on the B-side of this 7". Featuring guitarist Alessandro Alessandroni, the piece moves with sparse, low-lit tension, with Alessandroni's 12-string working in quiet interlock. On the A, Florence producer Clap! Clap! reworks the source material into 'Right Track', sampling and rebuilding it as a tough, stuttering boom-bap cut fronted by Japanese rapper Coma-Chi. Crisci has long worn his love for Italian soundtrack music on his sleeve - from Umiliani to Easy Tempo - and here folds that lineage into a sharp, contemporary shape.
