Offered is a vintage recording by the superb Clara Haskil, Mozart: Piano Concerto No. 19 F Major & No. 20 D Minor, Winterthur Symphony Orchestra- Henry Swoboda, Conductor, on the Westminster label WL 5054.

Clara has her own Wikipedia page, & here is some of what it tells us:

"Haskil was particularly noted for her performances and recordings of Mozart. As a pianist, her playing was marked by a purity of tone and phrasing that may have come from her skill as a violinist. Transparency and sensitive inspiration were other hallmarks of her style.

"Well regarded as a chamber musician, Haskil collaborated with George Enescu, Eugène Ysaÿe, Pablo Casals, Dinu Lipatti, Joseph Szigeti, Géza Anda, Isaac Stern, Henryk Szeryng and Arthur Grumiaux, with whom she played her last concert. While renowned primarily as a violinist, Grumiaux was also a fine pianist, and he and Haskil would sometimes swap instruments.

THE VINYL:  NM : Under bright light, there is one barely visible, light, thin 1" hairline. No scuffs or paper rubs; lightly played & extremely well-cared for.

THE COVER:  EX : Minor scuffing on the front; minor edge wear; some back cover yellowing around the edges; name/date written in left corner of back cover (New Year's Eve, 1958!!). Westminster made sturdy covers for their products, & this one has been well-preserved these 50+ years. Very little to detract from the cover artwork of Jules Halfant.

THIS RECORD IS SIGHT-GRADED ONLY UNDER A BRIGHT LIGHT, IT IS NOT PLAY-GRADED.

AS EACH COLLECTOR MAY HAVE A PREFERENCE AMONG DIFFERENT RECORD CLEANING METHODS, WE HAVE NOT ATTEMPTED TO CLEAN THIS RECORDING.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND THAT YOU CLEAN THIS RECORDING BEFORE PLAYING. RECORDS THAT ARE  DECADES OLD CAN ATTRACT & ACCUMULATE DAMAGING FOREIGN MATERIAL THAT REDUCES SOUND QUALITY. THIS IS NORMALLY EASILY CORRECTED WITH A GOOD CLEANING.

VG+: LESS CARE THAN EX, LIGHT SCRATCHING OR SCUFFING IS MORE EXTENSIVE. STILL VERY PLAYABLE & WILL LIKELY PROVIDE A QUALITY SOUND.

VG & BELOW: WHILE PLAYABLE, THIS RECORD HAS BEEN AROUND THE BLOCK. OBVIOUS SIGNS OF WEAR & SHOULD BE CONSIDERED TO BE IN A LOW GRADE.  A RECORD GRADED BELOW VG MAY HAVE A VALUE BASED UPON ITS RARITY OR UNIQUENESS.
