Description
Hello everyone,
I'm downsizing my record collection of some 60+ years.
This lot is one of 39 LPs, all mono and consists of many styles of classical music.
Amongst the soloists are :-
Campoli, Mainardi, Erica Morini and David Oistrakh Violin
Kempff, Horowitz, Katchen, Solomon and Willem Backaus Piano
Di Stefano, Ferrier, Schwarzkopf and Anneliese Rothenberger Operatic
Conductors include, Klemperer, Monteux,Kubelik, Boult, Elgar and Bruno Walter.
The condition ranges from :-
One is rated as N/Mint. One is rated as V/G- and all the rest are graded from V/G to EXC+.
Many have the original inner sleeves in excellent condition including the American Decca Gold. The outer sleeves range from V/G to EXC +.
All DG are large tulip. 5 Columbia are blue and gold, 1 green and gold and 1 is red and gold semi circle.
2 of RCA are red seal.
The Angel requiems are 1 single and 1 double and all discs are gold with white dog.
The Decca albums are a mix of gold and orange and silver and orange.
The HMV albums are all gold and red.
Although I'm only a amateur record collector I do have a professional ViVac cleaning machine and all these discs have been cleaned on the ViVac.
I consider my grading, using the Record Collectors' Guide as my reference, is on the cautious side. All discs are lovely and shiny and because of a couple of non-sounding marks I've been a little hesitant with the condition.
They do weigh heavy; so there is a postal charge of £8.99, that is just 23p per record but I would love a personal collection to save you the money and me for the hassle of packaging.
