CLEAN original 1969 first pressing of a great, highly rated (guitar led) hard rocker....
Sought after first, of two albums, collectors love this obscure group called BANCHEE and rightly so...the well written infectious material and chining guitars are a winning combination throughout both sides of self composed tightly executed tunes....
Includes not only the original printed Atlantic Records inner sleeve but also includes the lyrics insert which you seldom ever see....
BANCHEE were apparently pretty big in the Boston area in the late 60's/early 70's. Their debut S/T LP is a psych collector winner. The major labels, such as ATLANTIC weren't generally well known for releasing decent psych records (though a number of well known examples exist), and there wasn't much of a buzz around this one upon it's release. But it is surely worthy of ones psych collection, and you may be pleasantly surprised. Though definitely psych influenced, the aspects of that genre are primarily subtle, witnessed mostly via substantial use of fuzz guitar throughout the album. But the main forte of their sound is built around potent vocal harmonies that beg comparison to the venerable early Crosby, Stills, and Nash, accompanied by a heavier, hard rock backing, featuring the aforementioned fuzz guitar. Some skilled complex rhythms & structures are also apparent here and there, but the overall period flavor is excellent, still containing the last vestiges of the Bosstown sound as it faded into obscurity.

CONDITION: The cover is clean, "EX" (excellent) front cover ...has smallest delete mark at side pocket (hard to find without) no bends, no writing and no split seams
The vinyl is all clean M- overall upper levels nice and plays outstanding... both labels are clean...
