"Earthbound"

1972 original British pressing, harder than you might imagine to find this black cover without a lot of wear, after 47 years ... here a survivor you may want to note as not seeing CLEAN copies around.
Earthbound, as the original BRITISH-only 1972 limited edition was released on the UK "Help"/Island label, "Earthbound" was one of the earliest (if not the first) official bootleg released by a major rock band, consisting of a series of deliberately lo-fi live recordings of King Crimsons "Islands" Lp era line-up on tour in the USA. When issued, because it was a "specialty" item for fans of Crimson, was excluded from the main album charts.
Atlantic Records in the USA didn't even bother to release "Earthbound". By then, this '72 recorded version of the band had broken up & the label had already been alerted to the likelihood of a new King Crimson line-up promised for later in the year. Like the later live album, USA, Earthbound remains unavailable.
EARTHBOUND contains some of the most uniquely unsettling guitar work ever heard along with some of the most delicate and finessed fretwork in the same. Maxed-out at high end volume, this original '72 U.K. pressing of the phenomenal live album Earthbound, is one of the most treasured LP releases in the CRIMSON cannon. The RAW and ALIVE version with NO overdubs of "21st Century Schizoid Man" is worth the cost of this Lp, in our humble opinion, as reflected on our need for a personal copy.
All tracks are extended different versions from the studio released recordings
