We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office. Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has become very slow. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery.   We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Plays like it did upon day-1 of first release ... the label known for being a crude pressing, this survivor is an exception with no production faults...
  . ....mid '70s first press with laminated cover... a SPLIT LP affair featuring the obscure and suprisingly strong "MELODY" combined by the freaky excursions from underground avant-garde Mahogany Brain... each sharing a full side....
Melody were a symphonic rock band with female vocals. The sound of "Come Fly With Me" seems more from the early 1970s, and wouldn't be out of place with albums by the Dutch prog/psych band, Earth & Fire for example. There's also a psychedelic space-rock undertone present throughout, that perhaps explains why one gets the feeling the album was recorded from 5 years earlier...
France-based 1972 progressive gem featuring three French, one American,and one Belgian and one Campbodian musicians.
The group were Jean-Luc L'Hermitte on voices/guitar,Didier Dupard on keys,Phil Louvet on drums,female singer Diana Chase ,Patrick Frehner on voices/percussion and bassist Gerard Batrya, later a member of German prog-psych band " Ikarus". Their only LP ''Come Fly with Me'' was produced by Tapioca Records with a bizarre second side pressed with Mahogany Brain's music!!!).

The style of MELODY mixes elements from Psychedelic Rock,Symphonic Prog and Heavy Rock, sounding quite similar to the French bands of the time, BUT including English vocals whoch makes for a very British early '70s sound...the elements are undeniable by bands like CARPE DIEM, LAURA, SHYLOCK, EARTH AND FIRE and CURVED AIR. The overall production is muddy helping the band deliver their dark and haunting style, where melody is also present. Hypnotic guitar work, driving organs, Mellotron choirs, strong female and male trade-off vocals ...the band trend to deliver a crunchy edge together with smooth bass lines and acessible HQ sound that completes a good sound-picture of the band, which easily turns from long and demanding numbers to shorter rockier tunes and throws pro-preformed passages to offer a formidable progrssive-rock experience.

''Come fly with me'' is a long forgotten piece from the 70's progressive-rock scene, which will appeal to a wide range of music lovers due to its versatility and trippy production, especially to those who can't let go of the 70's.

                 CONDITION: The cover: rated: very fragile laminated cover is "EX" (excellent) minor previous use only, been kept well over the past 46 years ... no issues to report, should fit the needs in most any collection... there are no delete marks, no split seams, no bends, and no writing  ...

 The vinyl: Rated: M- total clean surfaces on either side...plays as well as it did when first issued ... Both Tapioca labels are clean
