s/t LP - THE ALLMAN BROTHERS BAND (Atco SD 33-308)
Original 1969 U.S. stereo LP. Long-time/BIG-time personal fave - AMAZING blues-rock debut by this quintessential southern rock sextet. (Tho, technically, 'southern rock' as a sub-genre had not been invented yet when this album came out.) Features classic after classic - "It's Not My Cross To Bear," "Black Hearted Woman," "Dreams," "Whipping Post," etc; simply stunning album, from start to fini. With AWESOME thick, textured gatefold cover. Very hard to find this in clean condition, disc is almost always in varying degrees of 'well-worn.' However, here's a copy in sweeeeet condition, looks/sounds GREAT. FANTASTIC package, in all aspects, most definitely, well deserving of it's iconic status. Includes original record company inner paper sleeve (in nice shape, w/ NO splits on the edges) (tho it doesn't match up date-wise, it's from a couple of years afterwards).
Disc = EX (GLOSSY - just a few very lite hairlines scattered; sounds SUPER, w/ NO distortion, NO groove wear & virtually NO pops or clicks; just the slightest of lite background noise, which is level throughout & really only noticeable between tracks & in the quietest sections; a VERY FINE listen, definitely)
Cover = see pix; slight wear in all corners; slight wear along front left spine edge; chip in front bottom left corner; small stain in front upper right corner where a sticker was removed; lite wear on top seams + tiny chip in top right rear edge corner; wear on bottom seams, including 1" chip on bottom front edge + 3" seam split on bottom rear edge; slight wear & tiny chipping on spine edges; ALL minor flaws - a NICE looking cover; any questions?, please ask
Labels = see pix; A-OK, w/ NO spindle marks to be found
Buyers, please wait on sending payment until you have received my invoice. Ebay-generated invoices are often inaccurate. Invoice will be forwarded within 24-48 hours of auction close.
