• POLICY CHANGE •
PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION and EXAMINE PHOTOS CAREFULLY. We provide as many details as possible to avoid any disappointment or hassle.
(A) VINYL: WE GRADE THE VINYL AS STRONG VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) very close to VG++ . CAUTION: The vinyl is NOT MINT and NOT NEAR MINT, but is nevertheless in a very nice and clean condition. There are some surface marks and abrasions, mostly light and superficial, although some may be around 2 inches (1 inch = 2.5 centimeters). The LP plays clean with minimal to no surface noise, not even between tracks or in the quieter passages and with our Ortofon stylus there was no skips or any audio distractions. This can change from stylus to stylus but is unlikely. OVERALL GREAT COPY!!!
(B) VINYL: The record is pressed on a beautiful, thick, inflexible vinyl, which was usually used for the first or very early pressings. Usually, the sound on such thick vinyl pressings is full-bodied, vivid, and even dramatic. Do not expect to obtain such a majestic analog sound from a digital recording!
(C) VINYL: Of course, this is a full-bodied ANALOG recording, and not an inferior, digital recording!!!
(d) COVER: We grade the cover as VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+). There is moderate age ware and staining mostly visible on the back. There is edge ware and this is the flat spine cover, see pics. There are no seam splits but the spine does has a 2" split about half way down the spine, see pics. This is a thick cardboard cover, American style.
(e) VINYL STAMPS: "RVG" (Rudy Van Gelder) is etched in the dead wax area along with the "ear" logo and hand etched matrix numbers.
(f) LABEL: original blue & white Blue Note microgroove mono label.
