Blue Note Records BLP 1526, this is an original US mono pressing - NOT a recent reissue - of the hard to find Clifford Brown LP "Memorial Album". This pressing has the deep groove labels on both sides, with the "161 Lexington Avenue" address notation; "RVG" is clearly etched in the dead was on both sides, as is the infamous "ear" symbol. (The "9M" is also clearly notated.) There are also no "R" registration notations on labels, nor on the back of the jacket. Jacket grades about VG, showing some rubbing and handling; there is some paper flaking/cracking at edges, and some paper loss at back lower left corner. Bottom seam looks like it has interior paper tape reinforcement; there is no outer tape on any edge or corners. Still, even with these flaws, it looks pretty decent. Vinyl is a shiny VG+, showing some minor marks and scuffs. Playback is solid, with some minor background crackle at the beginning of each side, between some songs, and during some quieter interludes, but nothing I ever found overpowering; there are no skips or repeats, and labels are crisp with no spindle wear.
