Description

CLIFFORD BROWN – STUDY IN BROWN – EMARCY MG 36037 – M-/VG+ – MONO

Recorded on February 23, 1955, this Emarcy recording session features Clifford Brown on trumpet, Harold Land on tenor, Richie Powell on piano, George Morrow on bass and Max Roach on drums. SIDE A: CHEROKEE; JACQUI; SWINGIN’ and LANDS END: SIDE B: GEORGE’S DILEMMA; SANDU; GERKIN FOR A PERKIN; IF I EVER LOVE AGAIN and TAKE THE A TRAIN. This is a MONO recording and the liner notes are printed in blue, which is usually the first pressing record jacket. The LP has a “lip” on its edge instead of being flat, which indicates that it is not the first pressing of the vinyl, although it has the Emarcy label. It comes in its original sleeve.

I have graded the vinyl as M- and the record jacket as VG+ for the following reasons. The vinyl on both sides is clear of any marks. There is no sign of wear in or around the spindle hole. The vinyl retains its original luster. The record jacket gets a VG+ grading, primarily for the wear and deterioration on the blue liner notes. It has taped seams on the top and bottom of the record jacket and wear on the spine. The cover is in good to very good condition, with some wear, but it is negligible. If you have any questions, please email me and I will get back to you as soon as possible. Thanks.

PAYMENT & SHIPPING

Satisfaction guaranteed on item. I regret that the USPS has raised their prices. The LP will be well packed. Fully packed in a crush proof box, it weighs 1.10 pounds. Due to increased cost, I have to charge an additional $1.00 for packing in the crush proof box. Believe me, it’s worth it! The method of payment is PayPal. As of October 20, 2008, eBay has decided to make PayPal the only method of payment for this item! This way, eBay has you coming and going! If you are a bidder who prefers to pay by other means, I suggest that you file a complaint! I regret the inconvenience. The LP will be shipped either by Media Rate @ $3.17 or by Priority Mail @ $5.95 and up depending where you reside. Overseas bidders should consider First Class Mail International. The cost to Europe and Asia begins at $22.30 in the crush proof box. It’s worth it! USPS has hammered overseas shipping!
