CLIFFORD JORDAN, Starting Time; Jazzland JLP 52, 1961 Original. Mono. Jordan on tenor sax, with Kenny Dorham, trumpet; Cedar Walton, piano; Wilbur Ware, bass and Albert Heath, drums. Vinyl is EX, clean and shiny with original glossy lustre, one or two very light barely visible (under halogen lamp) hairline marks that do not appear to affect play. Plays Mint- to my ear. Labels are clean, no marks, near perfect. Jacket is VG+, no splits or tears with visible ring wear front and back, more pronounced back. One line in back jacket notes underlined in blue ink, side 2 song listings have blue ink marks before each, neither of these obscure notes or graphics. In the photo of Clifford Jordan on back jacket, a mustache and goatie has been drawn in blue ink on his face. Beyond these dubious artistic imperfections, a rare find and very fine, beautifully recorded high fidelity experience.
Spirit of Sound Records, a one of a kind, independent Vinyl LP shop, located in Camden, Maine, is the area's newest and only record shop, featuring new and vintage vinyl from all genres, meticulously cleaned and graded (I scrutinize each LP under a halogen lamp) for customer satisfaction. Owner Byron F. Greatorex comes from a 40 year history of collecting, buying and selling records, including ownership of two previous independent stores in Vermont and Maine. Spirit of Sound aims to please! Present stock includes many gems in the condition and price range that is satisfactory to our customers, both locally and all over the world! Each LP purchased will be cleaned on a VPI Professional Cleaning Machine before shipping. Bid confidently and enjoy shopping with Spirit of Sound. Thanks and Peace to You!
Our grading system is essentially the same as in Goldmine with one exception. We use EX (in lieu of VG++) for vinyl that is between VG+ and just this side of Mint-.
Spirit of Sound ships, in good faith, via USPS. We combine shipping for multiple purchases. To insure customer satisfaction, we will include delivery confirmation (with tracking number) on all domestic orders, thus the modest shipping/handling increase. We encourage our international buyers to include insurance and delivery confirmation when choosing a shipping option. Barring this choice, we will ship in good faith at buyers risk.
