Description
Artist: CLIMAX BLUES BAND
Title: “FM / Live”
Label: SIRE ~ SAS-2-7411. Stereo pressing.
Year: 1973.
Condition: Gatefold album is STILL SEALED in sparkling clean original factory shrink wrap. Flawless except for a jigsaw cut on the bottom seam at left side. Shrink wrap is fully intact, clean and tight.
NOTE: This item came from the extensive personal collection of a former record store owner who retired from the retail music business in the mid 1980’s. Until we purchased this collection two years ago, it had been stored virtually untouched and unplayed since that time in a climate controlled, non-smoking environment.
We are in the process of selling many such items including investment grade colored vinyl LPs, promos, sealed LPs, and other rare memorabilia from this once-in-a-lifetime collection over the coming months.
Sealed original LPs are steadily disappearing into private collections, so don’t miss out!

“Heavy on the kind of blues-rock favored by Humble Pie, this is a live outing in front of a too-loud New York audience. Sax player Colin Cooper helps to separate these English midland lads from the heads-down no-nonsense boogie competition, although the emphasis is squarely on guitarist Peter Haycock. His solo electric slide showcase "Country Hat" is a marvel. The band's pop leanings featured so strongly on their studio recordings come through in "I Am Constant." It's a solid outing, and much meatier than subsequent offerings.”
